Chapter 4 of Inquiry in Music Education introduces you to thinking as a research activity:

•     Historical and conceptual contexts as landmarks of scholarly thought,

•     Perspective as awareness of point of view and researcher position,

•     Logic as a tool for critical thinking,

•     Identifiable laws, theories, paradigms, or belief systems, and

•     Skills of reasoning as research tools.
